XIII-2 is almost done:
In an interview of Famitsu with Producer Yoshinori Kitase, Final Fantasy XIII-2 is nearly done. With the game releasing on December 15th in Japan, it would be right for Square Enix to finish Final Fantasy XIII-2. By next week, hopefully the game will be gold and ready for shipping when the game comes out. Now that XIII-2 is nearly done, does that mean they’ll start working on Versus XIII soon? Well, Kitase didn’t leave any comment when asked about that topic. [SOURCE]
Bosses Will be Tougher:
Did you breeze through Final Fantasy XIII? Final Fantasy XIII-2 will have tougher boss fights, says Dengeki PlayStation. Worried that the game might be too difficult? Final Fantasy XIII-2 has a feature Square Enix introduced in Final Fantasy XIII International Edition Ultimate Hits – easy mode. Serah and Noel are joined by a monster in battle. These frenemies can be renamed and equipped with accessories. The magazine notes you can add tails and sunglasses to monsters. I’m imagining a Tonberry with dark sunglasses that says "deal with it" after stabbing an enemy with its tiny knife. Permanent party member right there. [SOURCE]
Final Fantasy XIII-2 Will Have An 'Easy Mode'
According to Dengeki PlayStation, the bosses found in Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be more difficult than the ones found in its predecessor. To balance this out for novice players, Final Fantasy XIII-2 will have a feature that Square Enix originally introduced in Final Fantasy XIII International Edition Ultimate Hits: an easy mode.
Game director Motomu Toriyama also noted that if players can't defeat a particular boss, there is an option in the game to temporarily give up and move on to another scenario. He has also stated that the game does not place caps on your characters' growth, a feature that was not present in the original Final Fantasy XIII.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 is slated to be released on PS3 and Xbox 360 this December in Japan and in early 2012 in North America and European territories. [SOURCE]
